Constant freezing of controls every few minutes [PC]

Everything was fine until a few days ago. Every 1-2 minutes ingame, all my controls freeze up, not letting me move or shoot for a few seconds. But the game continues behind, which often leads me to getting shot and dying. It's incredibly frustrating.

Someone on steam said it's fixable by uninstalling and reinstalling EA Anti cheat, but that hasn't worked for me.

Is anyone else having this issue right now? And if you fixed it, how did you?
