When I disabled steam input it just stopped recognizing the controller
@BenKenewbyTry this:
Unplug the controller and any devices connected to the USB that you're not using and go to Device Manager (right click the Start button and select it). Click the "View" tab and select "Show hidden devices". Expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section at the bottom and right-click and Uninstall each device that's greyed out. Plug your controller back in and it should automatically reinstall the drivers. If nothing happens when you plug it back in, click on the "Scan for hardware changes" button to force detect it.
Launch the game (with Steam input still disabled) and see if it's recognizing the controller.
