Controller Settings on PC

Hi I just bought Battlefield 2042 and have a whole load of problems. Im on PC and purchased the game through Origin but I use a controller. For starters, none of my buttons work on my controller properly when I start then game. I am unable to click A or any of the others in order to advance through any of the screens. So far it seems as though L2 is for some reason my A button, and R2 my B. Likewise, when I load into a game my look controls for my character are controlled by my L2 button... My character is constantly looking at the ground until I click L2 at which point it looks straight up so long as im holding the button. Ive yet to figure out what random controller binding will allow me to move. This is absurd. I spent 80$ on this just for it to not be ready or function even remotely properly. And why can I not flip L1 - L2 and R1 - R2? This is ridiculous. FIX CONTROLLER SETTINGS

P.S. Im on a PS4 Controller and have been trying to sort it all out in the settings quite a few times now. First in the Beta and now in the release.

@LaBombaArabe in the key bindings area, since you are using a controller try unbinding the keys in the keyboard & mouse columns for those specific functions to see if that alleviates your issue.

@LaBombaArabe Same thing happened to me. Was playing the other day and everything worked just by plugging the controller in, all key binds were what you'd expect. Played yesterday and now it's all messed up like you described. It's happening in all my battlefield games actually.

@xxxC🤭lBr33zExxx I had to manually bind every single button. In all my battlefield games. Like I said, one day it was fine, then yesterday it was all messed up.

Controller stopped working for me altogether after a recent update.
I really enjoyed the game when I was able to play it.
I hated that none of the other players can walk since everyone doesnt configure beyond WSAD for on foot movement input.
I have to play these games with a controller in one hand and a mouse in the other on my PC.
4 button movement is super nintendo controls. You cannot release your games with jacked up WSAD controls and call it good.
4 button movement is not even the same game console.
Controller movement seems to work on my brothers computer but my controller that works for all my other games does not seem to do anything in the game menu.

The vehicles are really cool in this game.
I cant seem to get perfect movement out of the on foot character with 0% deadzone like I could in BF4 tho it was pretty close to perfect.
There still seemed to be a tiny deadzone where I was not able to move while on foot in 2042.
I hope this will make sense. These games are really good. I hope players will setup their controls for them.
