CPU Spikes / FPS Drops
Hello, Before i beginn, something else and sorry for offtopic: Why the Hell did i get Banned, completely randomly for 2 Weeks ? No explanation, no-email, nothing The Text where the explanation sho...
Mmm so I guess you can exclude probably the CPU from the equation
- Onedrive synching ?
- Win11 22H2 update done?
- multiple screens ?
....
Did you do this update : Win11 22H2 ?
If so, deinstall it, this has been the issue for many regarding bad performance.
@Bolvards just play around with the ammount of cores, use only those 3 lines in User.cfg
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
instead of 8 try 6 , lower or higher this number ,you need to test it !
Also make sure nothing is booting with windows.
Disconnect al extra hardware devices at your pc, (turn off pc and make sure there is only 1 monitor, 1 mouse, 1 keyboard and 1 headset connected), disconnect all other usb/hardware devices/controllers !!!
What is your bios version ?
flash all versions from this page https://www.gigabyte.com/nl/Motherboard/H470-HD3-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios
If im correct this page is your motherboard ????
Flash every version ya see, after flash go in bios and set LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS, SAVE AND EXIT then flash next version.
Again go back in bios and again set optimized defaults, save and exit , do this after every bios flash !
(best way to reset bios / cmos is by jumper or connecting 2 pins at motherboard (see picture), then flash , reset cmos , flash , reset cmos , ect ect ect till ya have done all bios updates)
After flashing last bios version, reset (clr cmos) again, go into bios, and LOAD OPTIMIZED defaults !
Disable the internal GPU in bios
then in bios goto SETTINGS tab , select IO PORTS
Behind ABOVE 4G DECODING you set ENABLED
Behind RE-SIZE BAR SUPPORT you set ENABLED
in BOOT tab you set CSM SUPPORT at DISABLED
its possible you need to set XMP for memory , your memory is able to do a max of 2933Hz (is compatible with your cpu)
Now exit bios with EXIT AND SAVE
Test your game
ps sometimes it need some time before your computer start up, its possible thast your bios try to train memory , then could take some time, just wait till ya systems start to bootup !
any issues/questions , post them !
@Bolvardto ghet better performance i advise you this
then in bios goto SETTINGS tab , select IO PORTS
Behind ABOVE 4G DECODING you set ENABLED
Behind RE-SIZE BAR SUPPORT you set ENABLED
in BOOT tab you set CSM SUPPORT at DISABLED
it is more performance for cpu/gpu
also is bios version f21 a big advise !!!!!!
Update CPU microcode version 0x34
Update Intel Management Engine Firmware 14.1.53.1617
BIOS update to be compatible with 11th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors
Enable Resizable Base-Address Register (Resizable-BAR) option to enhance GPU performance
Improve UHD BD (4K BD) support
Improve RGB DDR compatibility
*Caution! For Intel® Celeron® users, this BIOS is limited to processors with 4MB Intel® Smart Cache, Intel Celeron® G5xx5 family ONLY!
try at least to test the ammount of cores in User, cfg
but i have to say , you will not gain extra performance much more if ya dont do those bios updates !
still not playable after the patch, 4-5 minutes after the round starts it begins and only stops after the round ends, BF2042 is the ONLY game currently i have those FPS / CPU drops, so its defenitely not my PC or some error on my end
See you all in Season 4 / the next patch... i guess 1 month or so from now
@Bolvardoh wait , youre the one that doesnt want to update bios !
Ah yes, find someone that will help ya tpoo update your bios for more performance man !
Your system needs it !
No hard feelings !! Cheers !
PS did ya update firmware from your NVME drives ?

@Rokebo73Cyberpunk for example, everything on high /ultra and no weird fps drops or stutters whatsoever.
MW2 everything ultra, no drops, smooth gameplay the entire round, no stutter, no lag etc.
The list goes on but I’m not here to try to convince you.
I know I’m not good at the hard/software stuff and know every detail but even someone like me knows what’s wrong and whatnot and it’s DEFENITELY not on my end when prior to S3 I could play just fine and had no problems at all apart from a few game crashes the first months.
Going into bios, overclocking, and all this extra pc know how SHOULD not be mandatory for trying to play the game.
If a workaround is like change settings or delete cache then ok, I can live with that and things can go on till it’s fixed.
But going into bios…. for a workaround…. Either the game is completely bad designed from the ground up or the devs are incompetent as hell.
I’m sorry but that’s how I think.
I just want to play the game and not trying to get a working workaround every evening when I’m home and it does not change anything !!!!!!
Update:
There was a Nvidia Driver update yesterday, it changed absolutely nothing
still CPU Drops / FPS drops, playing is litteraly not possible, if an fps drops happen when you aim at someone you desync completely and instantly die while your shots due to low fps comes out like in slow motion
Game not playable
Any news on fixing the stutter ?
i want to play again
