Hey @VSE-Imperator,
The Access Violation often means that the game doesn't get enough power / the PC doesn't get enough power to run the game at its current settings.
Is it possible that you have overclocked your PC recently and/or underclocked something or adjusted the voltage the components may use?

I've tried the game with overclocking, underclocking, stock speeds etc, but I can't see any big changes regarding the crashes with such changes. I have a 1200W PSU so there should be enough power. I also don't have this problem with other games, It's only BF2042.
Though, yesterday I installed latest Nvidia drivers again, reinstalled the game and installed some other C++ redist versions and it haven't crashed much now. I hope I'm back to the point where I at least can play for a good while before it crashes. I guess I have to reinstall things again when a new patch arrives.. Do you think the C++ redist versions can be somewhat related to the problem? I don't know if the dxdiag or crash dump file I've attached give you any information about where the problem may lie?

@VSE-Imperator, thanks for the extra details.
Glad to read that you didn't crash after you have performed those steps.
Small question; are you running a RTX 4090 SLI setup?- 3 years ago
I'm running a single RTX 4090, but as mentioned in the first post, the problems started when I had a RTX 3080.
