Crashing To Desktop At Round End/Beginning Without Error After Patch 1.1

I suggest you attach a DXDIAG report, as someone may spot something.

I would if I thought it'd help but this is the only game I have issues with. Zero hardware/software conflicts, all drivers updated tried running the game with overlays off/on no difference...

Just because this is the only game for which you are currently experiencing an issue, does not necessarily mean everything is OK with your config. I'm speaking from personal experience.

If you don't want to attach the file, feel free to see if someone else helps.

I appreciate you trying but I know how to read DxDiag and there's nothing that stands out. Everything is signed and there are no problems.

Edit: I'd love to read/attach the .mdmp files that are being generated but they don't make it easy to attach those files for reports....

Okay so after diving into the latest dump file this stands out "DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER", Driver: 51659. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.

So yeah going through the billions of posts about the same thing now... Annoying. Literally the only game that this happens on.

I gor the same problem but with a rtx 2060 

I can only play 1 round then get the black screen I'll end bf2042 task in task manager then I'll verify game files in steam load game back up play one round then back screen. Sometimes I can't even play a round it will freeze while loading the map. I re installed bf2042 July 30th thinking dice fixed most problems but turns out they created more. I had 250 hours in game before July 30th so I know it's not my system, it's the game. From october(games release) to about January(stopped.playing) I was able to play multiple rounds with no black screen and or freezing problems.

I9 - 32 Go Ram - 3080 Ti OC W10 64b

I re installed the game, I reinstalled the pilotes and the version of june

Same error. (it is happenning at the launch of the game just before the main menu)

I tried to see something in the events viewer: nothing concerning the DX crash.

The only thing saying it's not the game, it's not the nvidia driver, it is some KB installed by Windows just before the crash.

So I didn't try to see in detail if these updates from Microsoft made some changes on Direct X, but I guess that Direct X should be properly reinstalled ... And as it is delivered with the Windows 10, I didn't find how to reinstall Direct X.

So if it can help people and if someone has the solution ....
