Crossplay PC/PS5 not working Battlefield2042

So my friends bought this game recently and 3 of us have PC, we see each other, the 4th has PS5 and we cannot find him. We found him on EA, but when trying to invite him from the game and to the game, it says such nickname doesn't exist.

Why?

And yes, of course all of us have cross play enabled.

    Hi @AzanulbizarVet Has your friend checked that they're actually running the PS5 version of the game and not the PS4 one by mistake?

    @ElliotLH yes, you're totally right. he bought the ps4 version despite having ps5. is there a way to upgrade? or refund only? also the discounts are over..

    @AzanulbizarVet Ah that sucks. They might be able to download the PS5 version from the store still since it comes with some digital editions. I guess they'd need to look at getting a refund otherwise, but that's obviously not great as they'd need to re-buy at a higher price.
