having the exact same problem but on the xbox series X. using the alternate controller mapping so now that melee is assigned to B doesn't allow me to change my ammunition type without cutting to the melee animation.

@iswaldeen It's very frustrating! Currently playing without melee, ping, the ability to change fire mode or call in that support stuff...
