It's good that you were able to find a solution on EPIC. I have the game on Steam. Anyway, thanks for providing a solution and to the others who have also helped. I'm going to have to buy an Xbox controller because I really can't get used to the keyboard and mouse. And I have access to the Delta Force beta and I've barely played it for the same reason, because it doesn't have controller compatibility. Thanks anyway, I hope EA reconsiders and removes that restriction on the DS4.
@rerfps4 is your controller showing up at all in steam? if you go to big picture mode and go to settings-controller settings. make sure you have the playstation controller support enabled and on the top of that screen it should show your controller and its name "playstation 4". if its not showing up maybe try updating the firmware of the controller if that is possible. i put a picture attachment to sorta show how it should sorta look on your end.

Yes, I did everything you're explaining to me on Steam and my controller appears registered, in fact I even start the game and go to options and the PS4 controller appears, but the controller doesn't do anything, it doesn't respond, I can't choose anything, it only lets me use the keyboard and mouse.

@rerfps4 yeah now it started doing it to my steam as well. it was running fine and then i accidently installed nvidia gforce experience when trying to update my drivers and now its not working for me either. i dont know if installing the drivers or the G experience that caused it to stop working but i also am now having the same issue you are having where if i go to settings in steam i can move my controller when push "begin test" to test out the connection and buttons. when i go to launch the game on both epic and origin it no longer responds. i hit the overlay shortcut for steam and it pulls up the overlay but i cannot use my controller i have to use mouse and key telling me its not working as it should. I even uninstalled steam and reinstalled it and that didnt help either. but i didnt uninstall everything from the registry so i dunno if that has anything to do with it.
@FAabyssII yeah you connot you DS4 anymore or any type of controller emulation i guess because it goes against TOS of battlefield. not really sure. bottom line is they no longer want you using these programs. youll have to use a xbox controller or playstation 5.

I understand you perfectly, it's exactly the same problem that I have, and I even uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, I also did the same with steam, I even connected the dualshock with the cable and nothing, Steam and the game recognize it but I go in to play and the controller does absolutely nothing
I think that this update brought a very serious error with the support for playstation controllers
I would like to know if it works well with xbox controllers, and will I have to buy one then because I have always liked battlefield, I have played it since bad company on PS3 and I accept that the latter is not the best of all, but I still enjoy it and having to abandon it so abruptly because it does not accept my controller seems regrettable to me
