Have you tried deleting the games cache? That fixes many issues.
\Documents\Battlefield 2042\cache
Delete the whole folder
-----
If you have already tried deleting the games cache and still have the issue try this ..
Windows key + R, then enter regedit.
Under LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Cryptography.
On the right side just Delete the hole line with MachineGUID
Then just Run your game it will automatically replace it with the correct one for your system! Don't use the given GUID, this number is unique for every PC.

This solved my Directx Error issue where it indicates I have an error with the address "PipelineLibraryPcDx12.cpp".
The way to fix the PipelineLibary error is changing the MachineGuid to d1eb246e-6243-4460-a88e-5d4e52b1ef6b.
Windows key + R, then enter regedit.
Under LOCAL_MACHINE, find Microsoft, then Cryptography.
Under Cryptography you will find MachineGuid, make sure you back up ur original MachineGuid before changing, then enter the one provided above.
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography
Changed the MachineGuid to d1eb246e-6243-4460-a88e-5d4e52b1ef6b

@hthtghyy45Delete all caches from bf2042 / ea app / steam and d3d!
then repair game (do not play yet) , an SFC /SCANNOW (in command prompt window as administrator).
Now reboot pc, again once more a SFC /SCANNOW and then test game
