Driving tanks with controller on PC not stopping

Been having an issue with driving tanks on 2042 PC with my controller. My tank literally will not stop moving! If I stop after rolling forward my tank slowly drifts forward. If I stop rolling backward my tank slowly drifts backwards. It’s such a pain because it makes tank gameplay near impossible unless I just keep driving. 

IT IS NOT MY CONTROLLER STICKS OR STICK DRIFT. I have bought a brand new controller specifically to fix this issue and it did nothing. Nor do I have anything else plugged into my PC that would cause this input. I have tried tanks on other battlefield games and it works just fine.
