EA Anti Cheat update error - DownloadManifest failed error 12002:209

When I ran BF2042 it closes and a pup up says to update anti cheat, but when I try to update the anti cheat i always get these errors: Starting UpdateCheck... Starting InstallationCheck... S...

I have tried the corresponding solutions on the official website, such as re downloading, but still encountered the same error message of update failure. Occasionally, it shows that the update was successful but the game still cannot be opened. I checked that the game files were complete, the network was fine, the driver was updated, the antivirus software was uninstalled, and the computer's protection was turned off. The system is the latest. I think it's an issue with EA or the anti cheat program. I used to play Battlefield 5 before, but now it can't be opened either. I have also re downloaded EA a few times. Please solve my problem. I have tried many methods, but I haven't played the game for several months. I bought it with money and I am not satisfied with it.

    Turning off IPV6 worked for me. Search for network connections in windows search. Right click whichever connection type you're using (Ethernet or Wifi) and select properties. Make sure "internet protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) is unchecked and then hit ok. Then run the update tool again. It worked instantly for me. You can then either turn IPv6 back on after the update if you'd like or don't. I've noticed that there's a few games you have to do this for these days. This was also the fix that I had to use for Helldivers 2 in order to play with my friends. Hope this works for you.

    bro this **bleep**ing anticheat install wizard is so old that it looks like win95 buttons and doesn't support ipv6... thanks for the solution
