EA AntiCheat has detected an incompatible driver.
I been trying to play 2042 for the past week almost but get hit with this.
I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing files, updating anti-cheat and nothing. I only realized after that if I rename this SPECIFIC file to, "msio64.sys.old" will it let me finally launch. I'm posting here and asking if doing this will somehow flag or put me at risk for a potential ban?
Apparently this file is SPECIFICALLY for RGB lighting software which is insane to think that they care about that, but anyways I'm just asking if this will result in me possibly being false banned by doing this rename work around? I'd really not risk red game ban text on my Steam account over RGB file...
Hi VaIorie
No, you won't get banned (steam account or EA) for renaming this driver.
EA has implemented these errors precisely to avoid banning errors and compatibility issues.
The only side effect is that you lose control of the RGB/MSI monitoring as long as the file is renamed.
We'll have to wait for a patch.
Have great day 😄
