BF2042 dirextx function error after Windows update
Following a recent Windows update, an error has emerged preventing the launch of Battlefield 2042. Prior to the update, the game functioned without issue. Troubleshooting steps, including the complete reinstallation of both the NVIDIA drivers and Battlefield 2042, have not resolved the problem.
DirectX Funciton Error
Hello, today I started receiving this error after updating Windows on the computer. BF2042 was working without any problems until yesterday. This error only appears when I try to open BF2042, BF4 and BF1 work without any problems. I deleted the nvidia application and drivers and reinstalled them, in the same way, I deleted and reinstalled BF2042, but I still get the same error. Do you have any solution suggestions?
Continuous Crashes When Loading
I'm running the game through Steam and I've been dealing with this for 3 days now. I've already gone back to earlier graphics drivers, I've reinstalled the game, I've cleared out the anti-cheat and reinstalled it, I've bottomed out the graphics settings through the config files, I don't have this issue in any other game. Occasionally I'll get errors connecting to the online service but the main thing is this DirectX error. This sometimes crashes my entire driver suite and kills all audio in my PC forcing a reboot. If it isn't this it's the network connection or it's the splash screen hanging until I kill it. Nothing I've done seems to fix it or provide any headway toward it, and the times I've gotten into the menu feel random but don't let me go into a match at all. I'm at my wit's end with this, what the hell is going on? DxDiag attached, if a solution has been proffered in any thread in any forum in the last 3 years I've tried it. Nothing's worked.
Getting sick and tired of this Anti-cheat
I honestly am at the end of my wits here. I often try to play Battlefield with my brothers through steam, which then opens the EA app, the splash screen and then promptly disappears. Nothing happens despite steam saying the game is Running. The game also appears in the Task Manager but nothing happens, I am unable to close the game as well unless I completely restart my System. I have tried everything you can think off, different windows 11 version, Administrative rights, Disabling Full-screen optimizations, changing flow control, repairing, 200+ times of re-installing the bloody thing. Firewalls, removing potentially triggering programs but nada. Reinstalling has about a 50/50 chance of working which can take ages as it is not a small game by any means. I am really close to just giving up and not bother dealing with the horrendous EA launcher. I also keep getting the error after closing the game and then trying to reopen: EA AntiCheat encountered an error. Please restart your PC.: C;\Program Files\EA\EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe (2)(5). I feel these problems started occuring after I changed from a Samsung SSD to a Lexar 2TB SSD.help me
I have an issue: I downloaded the game, but when I try to launch it, it redirects me to the EA Play screen. When I try to log into my own account, I get an error saying that another Steam account has already been linked to my EA account and that two accounts cannot be linked at the same time. I contacted my friend, and they told me that they had unlinked the account. However, when I tried again, I still got the same error saying that the account is still linked. It seems like many other people are experiencing this issue as well. Could you help me with this problem?
