Rules Editor Creating Multiple Map Server
Hi Guys: So to just cut to the quick here's my question. Does anybody in here know how the rules editor works? I've used the rules editor to make some pretty good modified maps. However, it works for only one map at a time. I want to start a server that as the maps goes to the next map I want it to load the particular rules editor modifications for each of those maps. But the rules editor is tricky. And so far I've had no luck getting that to work. It's like trying to decipher ancient hieroglyphs. Anyway, if any of you have a proficiency with the rule editor I could use your help. Thanks Confuzzo outSOLUTION: How to enable Secure Boot on Gigabyte Motherboard
Enabling Secure Boot on Gigabyte Z590 Motherboard: Complete Guide Secure Boot is an important security feature that ensures your system only boots with trusted software. For Gigabyte Z590 motherboard users, enabling Secure Boot requires several preparatory steps and careful configuration in the BIOS. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the entire process. Prerequisites for Enabling Secure Boot Before enabling Secure Boot on your Gigabyte Z590 motherboard, you need to ensure several system requirements are met: UEFI Mode: Your system must be running in UEFI mode, not Legacy BIOS mode 7 GPT Partition Style: Your boot drive must use GPT (GUID Partition Table) rather than MBR (Master Boot Record) 7 14 Updated BIOS: Ensure you have the latest BIOS version installed for your motherboard 12 TPM 2.0 Enabled: Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0 (though Secure Boot itself doesn't require it) 16 Step 1: Check Current Secure Boot Status Before making any changes, verify your current Secure Boot status: Press Win + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter In System Information, look for: Secure Boot State (should show "Off" initially) BIOS Mode (must say "UEFI") 7 Step 2: Verify Disk Partition Style Secure Boot requires GPT partition style: Press Win + X and select Disk Management Right-click your boot disk > Properties > Volumes tab Check "Partition style" - must be "GUID Partition Table (GPT)" 7 If your disk is MBR, you'll need to convert it to GPT before proceeding. Backup your data first as this process may erase your disk. Step 3: Enter BIOS Setup Restart your computer During startup, repeatedly press the Delete key to enter BIOS 16 Press F2 to switch to Advanced Mode if needed 16 Step 4: Disable Compatibility Support Module (CSM) Secure Boot cannot be enabled while CSM is active: Navigate to the BIOS tab Find CSM Support (may be under Boot options) Set CSM Support to Disabled 7 12 Save changes and exit (F10) Re-enter BIOS to continue configuration 12 Step 5: Enable TPM 2.0 (Optional for Windows 11) For Intel processors on Z590: Navigate to Settings > Miscellaneous or Peripherals Find Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) Set to Enabled 16 Save changes (F10) Step 6: Enable Secure Boot Now you can enable Secure Boot: Navigate to the BIOS tab Find Secure Boot option (may be under Security tab) Set Secure Boot to Enabled 7 If prompted about Platform Keys (PK), select Install Default Secure Boot Keys 12 Save changes and exit (F10) Note: Some systems may require you to first set Secure Boot Mode to "Custom", restore factory keys, then switch back to "Standard" mode 14 Step 7: Verify Secure Boot is Active After rebooting: Press Win + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter Check that Secure Boot State now shows "On" 7 14 Troubleshooting Tips If you encounter issues: Black screen on boot: Likely indicates your disk is still MBR - convert to GPT 14 Secure Boot option greyed out: Ensure CSM is completely disabled 12 Error about Platform Keys: Install default Secure Boot keys 12 Windows won't boot: You may need to disable Secure Boot temporarily to access recovery options Important Notes Enabling Secure Boot is not strictly required for Windows 11 installation (the system just needs to support it) 14 Some older operating systems or hardware may not work with Secure Boot enabled Certain games (like Valorant) require Secure Boot for their anti-cheat systems 14 By following these steps carefully, you should successfully enable Secure Boot on your Gigabyte Z590 motherboard, adding an important layer of security to your system.Error code: 10610

The problem I am facing is that I updated the game to Battlefield 2042 with the latest update, and when I entered the game, it turned out that I was using version 5.0.0 New Dawn update instead of the latest 8.9.0, and I could not play the game again after the update. Every time I enter it, it tells me that there is a problem connecting to EA, knowing that it is working properly.Battlefield 2042 loads faster on VHDX than NVMe – workaround confirmed
System: Windows 11 Pro (clean install) KC3000 2TB Gen4 NVMe SSD (OS + games) Samsung 840 250GB SATA SSD (old backup drive) 32 GB DDR4 RAM AMD CPU + Radeon GPU Game installed via EA App Issue: BF2042 had long loading times on the KC3000 NVMe: • 45 to 90+ seconds from map start to spawn • 60–110 seconds from desktop to main menu After moving the game to a much slower Samsung 840 SATA SSD, load times dropped significantly: • 20–45 seconds into maps • Faster and more consistent to menu KC3000 benchmarks are solid (7000 MB/s, <0.04ms latency), no issues elsewhere. What didn’t help: • Reinstalling game and EA App • Cleaning shaders and cache files • Disabling Defender, indexing, OneDrive • DX11 vs DX12 • PCIe changes, write cache, firmware • Fresh Windows install What did help: • Created a 300 GB VHDX file on KC3000 • Mounted it as R:\ • Did a clean install of BF2042 to that VHDX via EA App (Note: EA App didn’t recognize copied files – full reinstall required.) Result: • ~60 sec to main menu • 20–30 sec into maps • More consistent and faster than KC3000 or SATA SSD Conclusion: Something in BF2042 or EA App causes inefficient loading on NVMe. Using a virtual disk avoids that. Please investigate NVMe-related bottlenecks or DirectStorage handling. This software cannot be used at the same time as the game: Interception
What did you expect to happen? The game starts via steam, load EA app with EA AC and then load the game to title screen. What actually happened instead? The game started via steam, loaded the EA app as well as the EA AC but not loading the game. instead the error happened: "This software cannot be used at the same time as the game. Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC.: Interception" What device/system are you using? Windows 10 PC, launched the game via Steam. Other Information: Checked any app or drivers installed with the name "Interception". None Restarted the PC. No error on startup. Check integrity of the file via Steam. Done, no error. Repair EA AC via the installer. Success Reinstall EA AC via the installer. Success. Again, restarted the PC. No error on startup. The game was tested between each steps. Same error. Some other user on reddit seemed to have the same problem since yesterday. I recently did a windows 10 reinstall.Solvedonline privileges

Hey, guys. I have downloaded the Battleield 2042 again after version 8, when the EA decided to require all players to use God **bleep** Secure Boot. Now my secure boot is on, but I still face issues during playing. For example, today game may just crashed and closed automatically without any error. My PC is not a potato so it should handle this game: CPU: i9-14900HX GPU: RTX 4070 RAM: 16GB I am so done with troubleshooting all this staff. I have this game installed for already 1 month and I am troublesooting it EVERY day. For now I would just recommend EA to remove the stupid Secure Boot. At the same time I will ask this community to help to indetify/fix misconfiguratoin that may result these issues. Letme know if you need more details of my PC or OS that will help you to determine the issue. For now I will just delet this game, and will wait untill I will get an answer here to donwload it and retest it. p.s. EA requires Secure Boot reasoning that it will not allow cheaters to use cheats. Guess what, that will not block them. Majority of cheaters already know how cheats work and most of them work by injecting data into the memory space of the game. But this stupid secure boot that may just totally break your OS. Besides it may not stop cheaters from cheating. SECURE BOOT IS NOT AGAINST INJECTABLE CHEATS. Secure Boot will make the usual player go and enable it from BIOS (which is not recommended at all unless you know what you are doing, if that was a good thing Windows will be installed with it pre-enabled). I have also heard that they are testing Secure Boot on BF2042, just to make it prerequisite for BF6. Guess how many players will play that game? EA stop destroying your own games!!! Thanks everyone for you help.
