EA Desktop Crash Opening BF2042 / Phantom update

Question

Hi all,i'm unable to open BF2042 anymore.EA desktop app keeps crashing. Sometimes I can see the main image, (after easy anti-cheat rectangle), other times, straigth away after easy anti-cheat.Crash after crash an game doesnt load.If I turn on airplane mode, can load the game and get the error 'Cant connect online ''.If I turn off airplane mode, with game still opened: CRASH.Other simptom is a 'phantom' update in the app. doesnt show the game it's updating and it's always paused.When i click Resume : CRASH.Fresh windows install / fresh EA Install / Fresh BF2042 Install: Nothing. still same error.. CRASH..

Hey @PTSonick,That's indeed a very odd issue.Can you please try an EA app recovery and see if the issue persists?https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Did that... same result..The only way to open BF2042 is to&nbsp;put another active donwload in the queue.I've put BF4 downloading.Opened BF2042: no problemsPaused download of BF4: still no problems at BF2042. Can play it as usual.If I start BF2042 without an active download: Crash..Problem :D : since I download at ~90MB/s, when BF2042 loads i've already downloaded 5GB!.A fix for this would be nice..

@PTSonick reinstall EA Desktop app.Uninstall with revo uninstaller first.

Already did that. Twice.Always with Revo Uninst.&nbsp;Same result.&nbsp;
