Hello @AEIDOLONE,
when you have the EA Play subscription through Steam, it only works for Steam and not the EA app as it is tied to the platform. You can read up on it a bit more here:
Yes! EA Play is available for PC via Steam or Origin as well as on Xbox One and PlayStation®4. Please note: while EA Play is available on multiple platforms your membership is tied to the platform you joined on. If you joined on Steam, your Play List, member discount, and all other benefits will only be available here."

@AEIDOLONE To confirm, do you still have an active subscription to EA Play via Steam? If so, do you typically launch from the Steam client or the new EA App client?- 3 years ago
@EA_IlliumI still have an active subscription via Steam. I do typically launch the game via Steam, but I also tried to launch it via the new EA App. I also tried to re-subscribe EA Play on Steam (cancelling than subbing again). Nothing changed. The sub basically doesn't apply for this game, and I don't know why. But I am 100% positive it's the EA App, because it worked just fine with Origin. The moment I (forcingly) installed EA App I lost the subscription in this game.

Yeah, it's aggravating. Up until the forced switch to the EA App, I had the EA Play discount listed in game for Battlefield coin purchases and I received my EA Play rewards without problem.
Ever since then, while the discount does get applied when I buy coins, the markdown is not displayed in game and since December I have had to contact CS every month in order to be rewarded the EA Play rewards for that month and it usually takes me several attempts each month to get it credited to me and it feels like most of the time I'm either being forced to run in circles by CS or outright lied to.I never got last months rewards nor have I received March 2023s reward.
