EAAntiCheat Error - unable to start game

Hello,

I have played free weekends of BF2042 before on Steam. I finally bought the base game recently, first on Steam, then on EA to try and get around the issue I am facing. Every time I try and start the game, the season 6 loading screen pops up and loads for a few seconds. Then I get this message:

I have reinstalled EAAntiCheat a million times at this point, but nothing has worked. I opened the EAAntiCheat installer to try and repair it, however, it says that my directory is "not a valid directory." To me, that tells me maybe the game isn't being recognized for some reason. Really, I am not sure.
