I'm also having the same problem, my controller is a playstation 4 one and I use the DS4windows and it seems absurd to me that they do this to us now, I come from playing battlefield 2042 on ps4 and all the battlefields on playstation, I bought the game for pc to and I use the controller because I don't find it comfortable to use the keyboard and mouse, please fix this it doesn't make any sense
Its possible that ds4windows is triggering anti cheat , cause the "cheat" settings/profile.
BF2042 is supporting different controllers standard in OPTIONS, ya dont need ds4windows for your controller at bf2042.
If ya want to play BF2042 , ya have to make sure any task/services from ds4windows is not running 😉

Probarly rewasd and joytokey also !USE REVOUNINSTALLER TO DELETE ALL FILES / FOLDERS AND REGISTRY SETTINGS FROM THIS SOFTWARE !
I know for sure Ds4windows is triggering the anti cheat. Yes I do need ds4winows to run my PS3 controller because it only supports PS4 and up.
I have the same issue so atm I found that DualSenseX by Paliverse works straight out of the box. Get it from Github or steam though. I believe the "dualsensex com" site isnt legit.
maybe the HidHide program might work for you since you have a PS4 controller. you can install it from the DS4windows settings menu. sometimes windows thinks there are 2 controllers plugged in so it messes up the contollers. hidhide will hide one of the 2 controllers so it only shows 1 which might fix your issue. Now i'm not certain about this but could be worth a shot. i have a PS3 controller so i think i do need Ds4windows to be running.
- @Neodroid17 Probarly anti cheat is checking the running services and will detect ds4windows ervices run in the background.
It will not fix your issue !
