4 years agoHey @Ripnite,
It is known according to Nvidia that this driver version has issues with Battlefield 2042.
It does not say anything about this issue in the driver notes. Also, issue was present on previous driver too.

@EA_LeeuwNot sure what you are on about ? 511.23 which was the previous driver had issues, this one arrived today, surely this driver can not have issues with the game before it was released ? or are you reffering to the whole 511 series of drivers ?
*EDIT* [Battlefield 2042]: The game may display color flashes on the screen. [3503086]
was all i found in there concerning 511.65

@Ripnite, it indeed seems like since the 511.x drivers have been released, they cause more and more issues with the game unfortunately. We have another thread regarding the previous 511.x drivers which apparently cause massive screen flickering issues (so even another issue then Nvidia mentions).
Best thing I can recommend for now is to roll back the the latest 400 series drivers to see if you can replicate the issue.- WeaponizedIdiocy4 years agoNew Adventurer@EA_Leeuw It does not matter what version of drivers you run this on, the game will crash.
@Ripnite is simply saying that new drivers did not help, Nvidia has not said anything about their drivers causing the crashing, only that the flashing can occur, which has nothing to do with the on-going crashing.
It's really sad, there are thousands of posts about crashing and they are all being dismissed as oh driver issue, oh must be your PC, oh its not the game.
I have never ever ever ever seen so many posts from every platform complain about crashing so much for a game, even Cyberpunk was not this bad.
tl;dr, game is unplayable due to constant crashing due to Dice and EA releasing buggy software.
You know its bad when they did not even mention 2042 earnings in their announcement yesterday.
