Every patch causes issues with computer

Every damn patch causes more issues with game causing the computer to crash, more specifically lose the video - either screen freeze or screen goes black and have to hard reboot my computer.

What the hell is going on?  Can you all not figure this out?  BF4, BF5, BF1 never had this problem

current games i play on same comp, never has this issue.

fix your *.  worst * game you all have ever released

all drivers up to date, working fine, now going back a driver to see if that helps.  last patch had to update driver to get it work, patch before that had to downgrade also

Hey, @BackwoodsRaider  can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with Battlefield 2042 and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

  • @BackwoodsRaider I do a game repair every patch for issues like this.

If it is an Origin game launch Origin go to game library and right, click BF2042 then select repair game.

If this is a Steam game launch Steam go to game library right, click BF2042 and select verify game files.

    See if that helps.
  • It doesnt.  It is something in their programming.

game will start, will be in a match, game causes graphics card to stop responding

change the driver, rollback or put in current

game will run fine, ill do match, then at the home screen go to weapons, click on a weapon, the game will cause the graphics card to stop responding.

next patch, same issues occur, have to find the right driver again, roll back or go to current, to get it to stop crashing during play

again, it is only 2042.  no other issues on any other game.
