After the 3.0 update i can't get into the game. I get 1-2 FPS in the menu and over 1750MS framtimes. takes over 3min and 26sec just to get to the splash screen. ALL other games work just fine so NO its not my computer. Have tried reinstall/repair, new and old drivers, clearing cache, deleting PROFSAVE and PROFSAVE_profile, editing PROFSAVE_profile with fullscreen on/off, DX11/12 on off, future frame rendering on/off, all settings low/ultra. disabling all types of overlays (EA APP, discord, etc..) enabled Clean boot, turned off the option 'Capture mouse cursor when recording a game.Specs:Ryzen 3700X32GB ram 3600mhz2070 supergame installed on a samsung 970 evo plus

Hey! I just fixed my issue by unplugging the controller connected to the system (A Revolution Pro controller 2 from Nanco).I think it might help if you can check whether any of your peripherals is causing the problem there!

Are you also noticing that your CPU is at a constant 100% usage, by any chance?

No. Infact BF 2042 only uses about 6-8% CPU and 1-2% GPU

@Trippp-Ex, that also doesn't sound good... If that is the case, no wonder that you only get 1-2fps... 😅 Could you maybe post a DxDiag as well?

I have exactly the same issue here. Just bought the game from Epic Games Store yesterday, the game keeps rendering around single-digit FPS after lauching (I was never able to join a game to test whether it is just behaving weird in menu or it's lagging in game as well).
Tried all the methods I cound find from forums or videos (reinstall | repair | update gpu driver | modifying PROFSAVE_pofile with DX12 settings | etc..), but still not able to run the game properly.
I turned on the built-in game fps counter to get more info (with setting perfOverlay.Drawfps to true), and found that the row of cpu stats is written in red, and I wonder if CPU is the cause to the issue? I've taken a screenshot with the task manager showing that the usage of both CPU/GPU are very low, and the built-in game fps counter.
Specs:
i7-12700F
16GB ram 4400mhz
3060ti
game installed on SK Hynix SSD

I have same problem
PC -
i9 12900K
32 DDR5 RAM 4800hz
AMD 6700XT
All driver up to date and nothing else running
Last week I was running at high display settings with pretty stable fps of between 145 and 155
Now AMD Adrenalin reporting average of 23.3 with max of 66 during game
GPU util 30%, CPU util 10%, RAM 10gb
Tried repairing, next going to uninstall and reinstall BF2042 overnight
Loading screen of Spearhead shows fps of 120, as soon as helicopter screen appears fps tanks to 10fps
Did notice that after update to Season 3, all display settings set to Ultra but have changed them all back to High
