Can look at your windows event log and tell if you see an error after launching your game.To open it just tap "event" in the Windows search bar and open it. Go in "Windows logs" > "Application". If you see an error, send me a screenshot of it.

Sorry to hijack but I am having the same issue, here is my screenshot from the event viewer.
I have tried everything in this post, plus completely removing the EA app and BF2042 (even Steam) and re-installing all of them. I made sure I got the anticheat installer off the EA website as some people said the one that came packed with their game is out of date. I have also tried the repair feature on the anticheat installerMy BIOS, Windows 10 and NVIDIA drivers are all up to date, I verified the files on Steam and they were ok but every time I try to load the game I get this error.
