I can confirm that this is a problem in the UK - and has been since the Season 5 update. Having read through the replies to the original post, it's clear that it is a problem with the servers, rather than anything the players are doing wrong. Prior to the update, the servers were stable.
I have experienced the crashes on every player hosted (Rush) Portal Map I have played on. I have also encountered it, more than once, on each of the official Conquest and Breakthrough maps. I have not tried official Rush or TDM, yet. Not sure there's much point.
There is no way to play the game properly, if the servers aren't stable - and they very clearly aren't. It's really a very basic requirement, to have properly working servers, if you expect people to be able to play games on them. You don't need to be a tech genius to know that - but you do to fix the problem. So, any time they want to make the BF2042 servers work, worldwide, again ... that would be nice.
Obviously, I now know that it's not just me, it's nothing to do with my laptop and I'm pretty sure I'm not being punished for not wanting to purchase Premium, or liking some of Enders' videos.
Please, whoever needs to fix this. Fix it.
