Hello everyone,
Please be aware that this AHQ thread is specifically for this issue and not for any other problems.
The EA app dev teams have released a new version of the EA app that addresses the issue of the BF2042 Season 6 Patch on Steam getting stuck in the 'Validating Game Files' loop.
To ensure that you receive the fix promptly, please attempt to manually update the EA app by following the steps provided here. After updating, open the EA app before launching Steam and check if the update for Battlefield 2042 Season 6 on Steam now installs correctly. The fixed version of the EA app is 13.45.0 and higher.
Please inform us if you are now able to install the patch without any issues and without needing to perform an EA app Recovery.
WORKAROUND:
SpoilerPlease perform an EA app Recovery > Open the EA app, click on the hamburger menu in the top-left corner, highlight "Help," and click on "App Recovery," and see if the issue persists. Reloading the EA app and Steam may be required.
