@zbran1 it seems BF2042 is poorly coded for crossplay, fact that theres no server browser and player pings are hidden would suggest theres an underlying problem with this game.
with the hardware were running these days compared to consoles there should be no amount of tinkering with settings to get the game running smooth.

Sorry, I respectfully disagree.
Issues with crossplay (or no server browser or player ping) does not equate to poor code. If there are an usually high amount of issues reported with memory (or CPU/GPU), then some people could possibly get behind that.
Also, most people who have been playing PC games for a while have had to do tinkering of settings in-game and on their PC (i.e. BIOS). Many of us have also had to modify hardware to get certain games working. This is one of the downsides of playing on PC (versus console).
