Frame rate fix! It actually works.

Hello, to fix BF2042 frame rate problems.

Go to the PROSAVE_profile

change "GstRender.ResolutionHertz 60.000000" to the refresh rate of your monitor.

(for example: for me I put "GstRender.ResolutionHertz 240.000000")

for some reason even if you change the refresh rate in game it wont change the config file. or at least that was the case for me.

Hope this helps someone.

  • Hey dude,

Unfortunately, I didn't dig too deep. The only reason I found this was because I'd recently purchased a 6900xt and was concerned with why the game was running so poorly, taking in to consideration the cards capabilities. I initially went into the config file to just manually change the weapon dof, like many have been doing, then I noticed the render refresh rate was set to 60 even though in game it was set to my monitors native setting of 240hz.

One thing I did come across though and this only happened once and I had to reinstall the game to rectify it. I changed my keybinds so that "Weapon 1" was bound to "Q" and weapon 2 was bound to "E" and when I saved the changes those keys no longer did anything and I couldn't reset the bindings to default so I could no longer switch weapons. The bindings somehow bugged and it wouldn't let me change them so I had to reinstall.

But since then I have been able to change keybinds no problem.

    Cheers 🙂
