Game configuration resets out of nowhere

Every once in a while the game configuration resets. The game starts up as if I have never run it, I have to go through that annoying tuturial that can't be skipped and my controller configuration is lost (and the default one is garbage, so it's incredibly time consuming to change). This is a huge waste of my time.

I have no idea what causes this, but last time it did I had previously had to terminate origin because it froze.

    Welcome.

    That's very strange indeed.

    So since you mentioned that you're playing via Origin, I assume that this is on a PC?

    May I ask which Windows version you're running and can you please post a DxDiag?

    Apart from that; do you know if you maybe have a cloud backup service installed & running in the background by any chance on your PC, like OneDrive for example?

    Game has been doing this since launch for me at random.. Pro tip since they released an unfinished mess that most people abandon, go to C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings and make backups of the two files there.. when the game resets, just alt-f4 and replace the reset files..
