For those who have the input lag problem: check if you have Microsoft PowerToys installed, if so, close it and try playing now 🙂
- @ItsLeaah for those who want to test : https://silentinstallhq.com/microsoft-powertoys-install-and-uninstall-powershell/
- @teNs11 You can just stop the process... no need to uninstall it.
- @ItsLeaah are you talking about PowerToys ? Because the link i've shared is talking about install/uninstall, not stop the process.
- @teNs11 Yes. Some people might not want to uninstall it because it is a great program. So you can just stop the process and test if that helps the input lag.
And you can uninstall it like any other program. No need for the scummy website you've sent. Product: Battlefield 2042

Summarize your bug Extreme input lag due to 100% of processor
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Attempt to run the game on a lower end CPU such as mine the I-7 9700k. I also run DDR4 4000mhz, not sure if fast ram might affect the issue. It doesn't seem like all users are having this issue however, I do see a lot of other 9700K users reporting the same bug so maybe it could potentially be useful to try and diagnose on a system with those specs.
What happens when the bug occurs? For context since the latest update the game utilizes 100% of my 9700 K and does not drop even to 99% for a moment. It's great that the developers have found a way to increase CPU usage however this change has actually lowered my overall FPS and 1% lows instead of increasing them and now the movement keys are delayed by one or two seconds. Mouse aiming is completely fine. Player input should be prioritized over other tasks on the CPU so that the game remains playable albeit at a lower performance level. It is not possible to win a gunfight with input lag of 1 to 2 seconds however it may be possible to when a gunfight even with low FPS.
What should be happening instead? The game should be prioritizing player input especially for movement over other CPU tasks because when the processor gets used to 100%. The game should still be playable but drop performance or other tasks instead.
This issue has only occurred after the update. This extreme input lag at 100% utilization was present in the build prior to this new update however it only occurred when shader compilation was taking place. Now after the update the game is constantly at 100% utilization at all times even after shaders have been cached. This results in extreme input lag to the movement keys on the keyboard as well as a generally lower frame rate and 1% lows. I have all overlay software disabled as well as lowered the polling rate on my mouse. I have also reset the games shader cache folder in my documents and also my DirectX shader cache from windows cleanup. Thank you.

Thanks for posting the DXDIAG. I don't see anything obvious there. In fact, yours is one of the few I've seen that has no issues noted in the diagnostics section at the bottom.
Regarding your point on RAM speed...
Make sure the RAM speed you have set in your BIOS is not above what the CPU can handle. This includes ensuring XMP is properly configured; maybe even turn off XMP, while you're troubleshooting.
still having this problem in season 4
Hello, i have some terrible keyboard input lag, its litteraly unplayable, also the cpu usage was at 100%
i found a way to reduce the keyboard lag with origin by deleting the file igo64.dll but now with the new ea app is no longer possible
Is overusage cpu and keyboard lag a both related ?

Yes, if your CPU is at 100% there will be keyboard lag. Look in the 100% CPU thread to see if there are any fixes.
