Game crashes to desktop

After launching bf2042(EA app) the game crashes to desktop after few minutes. It was fine 4 days ago then it started, updated bios and was fine again for 3 days, now today it decided to crash again.

Same issue with bf 6(Steam) I had to verify each time before launching the game and each time 3 files were missing.

Event viewer:

-The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

EAAntiCheatService
The game bf2042.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x102

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

-Faulting application name: EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe

  • After a few minutes of analysis, the problem was solved. Here are the steps that led to the resolution of the problem :

    - Uninstall completely EAAntiCheat.GameService via
    EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe ->https://cdn.eaanticheat.ac.ea.com/EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe

    - Checked and repaired system files via CMD
    (always open CMD in Administrator)

    sfc /scannow (In first)
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (in seconde after sfc /scannow is finish)

    - Checked the VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) via CMD

    vssadmin list writers

Grant full permissions to all users for the files :
    -> C:\Program Files\EA
-> And the folder where the game is located "Battlefield 2042" (may vary)

    - Restart your computer.
    - Run EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe, click “Install” for Battlefield 2042.
    - Then run EADesktop.exe as an administrator (C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop)
    - And launch the game

    Have good game ! 😄

  • Hi JstSmKul
You can try reinstalling Javelin here: https://help.ea.com/en/articles/platforms/pc-ea-anticheat/

    After installation:
    - launch “EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe” that you just installed
-A page will open, click on “Uninstall All"
    -Then restart your PC
    -Launch the “EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe” application again
-This time, click on “Install.” You will be asked for the path to the BF2042 folder

Once installed, let me know if you see any errors

uninstaled all, restarted pc, launched the app

didnt have option to select folder, just clicked the text battelfield 2042, clicked install, now it had text installed next to it.

Ran the game : first error in the event viewer is:Faulting application name: EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe, version: 1.0.33830.0, time stamp: 0x68a0b1f5... guessing this happens when launching the game

second error appeares 1 min later:

  • I think their files are corrupt and all of us having problems keep getting corrupt files.  I get constant crashes with javelin even after a full new Windows rebuild with only this game installed.  Tons of errors where it cannot validate the timestamps of enanticheat.sys .... likely their files are corrupt on Steam or something.

    Okay,
I think it would be best if we looked into this together on Discord, it will be easier, and if we find the problem, a message will then be posted here to help other players who are experiencing the same issue. But normally I had already solved this problem, it's just that it takes a little time.
