Looking over many of the dxdiag's in this thread it appears that:
It is not a specific GPU that is causing these issues (Though it does almost all appear to be Nvidia, unless I am mistaken?)
It is not a specific GPU driver that is causing these issues (Latest, or previous)
It is not a specific Windows version (Various builds of W10, W11 out there)
The issues didn't actually start when the update happened, they started a few days before (As suggested, 18th?) but appear to have become more frequent after the update?
Having wiped and re-installed windows fresh (complete format, wipe EVERYTHING) and keeping my install relatively clean (no additional games installed, just BF2042) this also doesn't appear to have helped.
Some people, amazingly, aren't having any issues at all. Nobody knows why *confused shrug*
This is a tough one, no doubt DICE would be just as confused given there doesn't appear to be a common theme across the board. AFAIK, this is only a PC issue...?
So, crazy thought.. Maybe this is a server issue. I realise that would cause consoles to crash in theory, but the way PC's and console interact with DICE servers would no doubt be different. I do wonder if that is where the problem exists, and for reasons that nobody knows, consoles just aren't impacted?
