Played a few hours ago and everyting worked fine.
Now it just freezes and it seemed like a few more I played with hade the same issue...
Mid game just freeze and then restart.
A new "feature" from EA/DICE :-)
We are seeing positive signs that the reported scenarios of freezing for PC players have now been resolved.
As such, this issue is now classed as being closed.
If you keep seeing Freezing issues please post below.

I've had no problems in Battlefield 2042 since it was first launched ( well apart from the data problems others had in the early days ), but since this latest update I can either play for hours. Or such as yourself a complete game freeze/black screen and I have to restart the game ending it in Task Manager which happens again and again. I'm using the latest drivers and have no problems in ANY other games. This has ONLY started since the latest Liquidators update!

(Me too), I can confirm at least 15 people I personally know from my gaming clan (AOD) has this issue. They are crashing regularly/randomly, getting massive FPS dumps, and lagging periodically.
I only crashed one time - first and only time since the game has existed that my game crashed. I restarted and haven't had issues yet - but after a few hours of playing so many of my community members had issues all night long. This is a severe bug.
I was having the same issue since yesterday. Deleting the contents of the cache folder and restarting the game appears to have solved it for me (for now).
Yeah same for me! I having this issue since yesterday. That's mean something happened yesterday. I checked and there are no updates from Windows for last 1 week. And nvidia driver date is September, so Windows and nvidia drivers not related. Which folder did you delete?
