Game freezing up for a few seconds random, causes huge gameplay issues

This just started. When I first installed the game for the first few days or so, this wasn't happening. Now I can't get this problem to go away. It just freezes up the exact same way every minute or ...

Same thing is happening with me ever since the latest patch/update.  No problems before.

@LoneGunman74 I'm convinced it's something they did with the latest small patch, as before that the game was running completely smoothly. I managed to contact support and get a refund. Very sad that I can't even play the game though.
