Thank you, also I forgot to mention this is on the Xbox series X
Hey Everyone
Thanks for letting us know about this to check would it be possible to get a screenshot or clip of what it looks like when you try to access the game,
Also to confirm do you own the full game or play through EA Play?

So I think I’ve got to the bottom of this
when taking screenshots for the above post, I looked for proof I owned the game. I had the receipt but in the Xbox store redesign I can’t see where it says “owned” like it used to.
so I went to my games and apps > all owned games > battlefield 2042
clicked on that and it had a button to install. So it turns out the pre order version of the game is a different ‘game file’ to the trial version. That was not even slightly clear. I’m almost out of space so it didn’t auto download on release day so I guess only a few people will have this issue.

Scrap that. The other version I found was the Xbox one only version. The X | S version still says trial for me

This is my exact problem as well, going to troubleshoot tonight please do post if you figure it out, I'll do the same!

Hey @Lemon_in_a_Jar To confirm which edition of the game did you purchase? If it was the standard edition, there is one for only the Gen 4 Xbox one console (here) and one for both Gen 4 and Gen 5 (here).
If we purchased the later or a different edition of the game we may need to speak with Microsoft support or an EA advisor to look into your Xbox and EA accounts.

Hi there. Ok I think that’s what I’ve done, purchased the Xbox one only version. Wasn’t that clear st time of purchase, in fact due to the way the text wrapping is in the various store views, you can’t see the full name until you click through to the main info page of a particular version.
What’s weird is I downloaded the trial and followed the purchase links through the “see in Xbox store” options from the trial game. So something went weird there.
any ideas how to solve this? I’m not aware of anyway to refund the game at this point and can’t see anyway to “upgrade” the Xbox one version to current gen
thanks
