I hate it when that happens to me as well. Got mine through epicgames and to have to open EG then BF2042 only for it to open Origin then launch BF2042 and nothing happens and have to repeat the launch game option from EG. I found right clicking the Origin icon in my taskbar and picking the launcher helps load it but again it doesnt always work.
