Glowing (high bloom) name tags and general text

lately ive noticed while playing 2042 that the name tags and a lot of text in game has become bright and glowy like there is too much bloom from the glow of the text and i for the life of me cant figure out how to fix it, hdr makes the game a dark grey washed mess and lowering the only setting in game related to the issue (brightness) makes the entire game darker which is not what i want.

i do have colorblind set to custom for custom player colors because i prefer different colors over the washed out original colors but even that doesnt have a proper brightness or opacity setting unless i lower every enemy or friendly icon opacity which of course makes more things harder to see

perhaps the devs havent included the necessary qol settings like the older bf's but its like someone really cranked the color settings to 11 for this future digitized look
