GPU Hung Detect

I9-10850k, 32gb, and I just put in a 4080fe. I had a 3080 FTW3 EVGA and had no problems with it before.GeForce Game Ready Driver 527.37 I get Gpu Hung Detect failed with dxgi_error_device_hung - The GPU will not respond to more commands. D;\dev\tnt\localpackages\rendercore2\2.04.00-ks\source\plat\form\dx12\submissionmangerdx12.cpp . BF2042 freezes and kicks to the desktop with that error. Any help ?

  • Yes. I played a little bit yesterday and it did not happen. I left a a comment on the NVIDIA forums also. I think it is a glitchy NVIDIA driver so hopefully it will get sorted out with the next drivers. Thank you for the reply.

  • Hey, I've been having this issue with my RTX 4080 also. Dropping the settings down will give you a temporary fix, so I was running everything on HIGH not ULTRA. However in busy situations it would still crash. After experimenting a bit more I've found it to be voltage regulation on my 4080. I've used Afterburner to set my voltage max to 1.0 with a clock speed of 2800mhz (I have an Asus TUF 4080 that at stock will fluctuate around 1v to 1.05 and boost clocks up to 2850mhz.

So far this is stable for me - I'm not undervolting it really, just trying to stabalize voltage. I'm able to set everything to max settings in BF2042 and no crashes so far.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your new card! 🙂
