For the NVIDIA folks, you might try leveraging the Image Scaling function as it's essentially equivalent to AMD's RSR.
This is a workaround that allows HDR to work like it did prior to 4.2.0, at least with AMD RSR. (fingers crossed for image scaling working the same way for NVIDIA users 🤞)
This Nvidia image scaling solution worked few days for me, but now suddenly it doesn't anymore. I'm not playing without HDR.
Why the * they can't fix this, its been almost a YEAR!
- SubSonix2 years agoSeasoned RookieMaybe it's not can't fix, but won't fix. That's how it feels to me.
- 2 years agoOf course it's a won't fix, every previous battlefield games that had hdr as well as every other game I have which supports HDR works with the sole exception of battlefield 2042.
- 2 years agoI’m telling you guys just use my workaround. Just put it in windowed and restart. The second the screen pops up on re launch, expand the window. If you change your accent color to black, all you see is a little Battlefield logo in the upper left corner. It fades as you play. Eventually you will not notice it.
- 2 years ago@lex_lutha111384 doesn't work either at least for me.
- 2 years agoHi everyone I finally managed to make that work. I tried different things but what finally worked for me is: 1. switched to windowed mode 2. disabled auto hdr 3. I set my oled alienware monitor to HDR 1000 peak 4. I switched back to fullscreen mode now I have fullscreen mode enabled with HDR enabled. I'm not sure if it's game, windows or monitor but now it works fine.
