Headshot Crosshair color change does not work for me [VIDEO]

As you can see I have my headshot crosshair color set to GREEN:

Yet when I make headshots everything is still RED.

Am I missing something here? No matter how many times I try to change it or what color I try to change it to it's always red in game yet other people have managed it:

Taken from a YT video:

Yes I know there are a million different more important problems with the game right now but just wondering if I'm doing something wrong here.

Never mind, I've figured it out. The Headshot color is just a hit marker color, it only shows up very small when you hit someone in the head but DON'T actually kill them. It does not show up when you make a headshot kill. It's my own fault for assuming 2042 had a feature that previous BF games had where your headshot kills were distinguished between normal kills.

So essentially they need to rename that in the menu to Headshot Marker Color and then also add a custom color option for Headshot Kill Color.

@RipGroove99 If you change the Kill color from red to green, does this it still stay red or shows a different color?
  • @EA_Illium I swapped the colors around in my options so:

    Kill Color = Green
    Headshot Kill = Red

And this is what I get now:

    Non headshot Kill (Green):

    Headshot Kill (Also Green):

So it appears that the Headshot color isn't actually working at all (no matter what it's set to) as every kill I get just shows up as whatever color I have set to 'Kill Color' in the game options. The game knows I've hit a headshot because it throws up that weird double crosshair thing but it doesn't make any color changes like the menu would suggest should happen.

@RipGroove99 Thanks for sharing this, I can pass this feedback along about making this clearer in settings or in-game.
