In general, I play on server with 20 ms ping on PC. I'm not that great in hopping around and getting headshots, so in best case I get 15 kills in one round. I lose 75% of all 1:1 even with better suited weapon for situation and enemy survives with 1 to 7 health - obviously one of my bullets was not counted/registered depending on weapon. If I surprise 2 to 3 enemies, I get one, but the second one turns around and gets me we two to three bullets (at least this is what I hear). No chance to get 2 or more in a row. Sliding and diving behind cover does not seem to have any affect on the enemies getting me with 2 to 3 hits in 90% of my deaths.
Sometimes I’m placed on a server with >100 ms ping. I win 80% of 1:1, I can get 2 to 3 enemies in close proximity in a row, and suddenly sliding and cover provides protection.
This is just frustrating. It seems that netcode/server decides by some balancing algorithm/mechanism based on ping and platform who gets the kill.
- 3 years ago@steirerhubsii i am having the same experience... playing on eu servers with 20-25 ms ping its a hot mess of not getting kills and insta killed by enemies, loose almost all 1 to 1 etc... but once i join one of my NA friends and play with 100 ms ping on NA servers its mostly like it is a different game and my shots actually counts, so there has to be something with the netcode...
