Is the game still bad in netcode? Why do I get 6 hits from the client side and only 3 from the server side in the first segment of the video?
In the second segment, everything is good: 4 hits from the client side and 4 from the server side.

Maybe this is due to "collecting of damage", but this problem has been around for many years.

For me, this occurs all the time unless I am using a Marksmanship Rifle or Sniper rifle. Anything with a relatively high RoF will have hits missed at the server.
My theory is it has to do with the server tick rate (45Hz) and if they went to 30 or 60 we would not be having as many problems.

I was killed today half a second after getting behind a container. The guy was around the corner so it's obvious he killed me before I rounded the corner. It took nearly a second to register. This needs to be fixed.

It seems to be a lot worse when the servers are under any kind of a load like the free trial days and weekends, this weekend with the Double XP event going on the servers seem particularly crappy.
I've only managed a few games out of maybe 30 or so matches so far that felt like everything was working right. Other than that, it's the usual stuff, shot behind cover, wasting a whole magazine on somebody just to have them one-shot you in return etc. etc.
I even had one guy wade through a hail of bullets while I was shooting at him with the XM8, he started about 15 feet away and just waltzed right up and melee me, how in the hell can you NOT question that?

When I posted about this awhile back to one of the devs on Twitter, he said "maybe the servers are having some problems". He made it seem like this was a server side problem. I just don't know if they know what is causing it or how to fix it.

I've just started checking those and I am experiencing the same, client side will show 5-6 hits server side only sees 3-4, its's a problem.
- 3 years ago@Ironhead841 Went back to BFV for a couple of games, same problem there. And the tickrate is 60Hz, but still sometimes the server doesn't register hits.

Apparently the damage log isn't 100% accurate. I also believe shooting vehicles with bullets registers as a client-side hit but not as a server-side hit.
I'm not trying to gaslight anyone into believing there isn't hitreg errors. There clearly is as demonstrated by JackFrags and many other community members. It's even been proven that incoming damage doesn't add up to 100% health either.
That's why Florian states video footage is needed along with the network graph in order to properly interpret the data.
