How do I completely disable controller on PC for BF2042?

Hi all...I am playing BF2042 on PC and have run into a problem. I also have a Logitech X56 HOTAS plugged into my PC for use with various flight and space sims like MS Flight SImulator and Elite Dangerous. The problem I'm having is that BF2042 is apparently picking up either the throttle, the stick, or both as a game controller and overriding my mouse/keyboard inputs. When I go into Key Bindings to try to disable the various controller functions one at a time by unbinding them, it's asking me to hit a button with three horizontal lines on my "controller" in order to unbind the control...but none of the buttons on my HOTAS seem to work for that. I can't just hold down ESC to unbind like I can for a keyboard bind. So how do I either just completely remove BF2042's ability to see that HOTAS, or unmap all the controller functions inside BF2042 if I can't get this "three horizontal line" button to work? I cannot play the game until this gets fixed because it's overriding my movement and I want to play with just mouse/keyboard. Thank you.

By smoothing out the answers a bit, I found a solution that worked for me.
I deleted the "PROFSAVE_profile" from "C: \ Users \ myname \ Documents \ Battlefield 2042 \ settings.
By restarting the game the binding errors are reset and all the parameters.
I had of course parked the original file just in case.
Looking at the binds / variables that cause problems are on "button 255".
GstKeyBinding.gunner.ConceptMapSize.0.button 255
GstKeyBinding.infantry.ConceptCycleFireMode.0.button 255
other variable are on 255, I don't know if this is normal.

I don't have any external controllers connected, and I'm also having this issue. The weird part is that I was able to initially change some keybindings earlier today until this started happening.
**Update w/ temp-fix solution: Go to C:\ProgramData\Origin, delete all folders except 'LocalContent', open game and you should be able to clear all of the stuck bindings then set your own.

Same issue. I attempted to play the game and my character is spinning uncontrollably. I read it may be do to other inputs. I have HOSAS setup and disconnecting them to recalibrate them each time really isn't a solution. I attempted to clear the "controller" keybindings but it requires I press the three-line button. I plugged in an Xbox controller but the game doesn't seem to be picking it up. Maybe the joysticks are overriding it. Either way, same issue. Can't clear controller keybindings with using three-line button which apparently can't be accessed, or isn't registering.

Better question... how did you get yours to be detected? my Hotas or my Xbox controller are MIA in the game

I'm making a bunch of assumptions honestly. I get in a match and my character is just spinning. Searching online said it may be due to other inputs being picked up (joystick or controller). I tried to clear the keybindings for "controller" but when I hold the three-line button, it doesn't do anything. Trying to move the character with joysticks doesn't do anything. So can't say whether the joystick or controller are actually being detected.

@AOD_moose004 just hold down ESC to clear the bind. I just tested it out and removed all my controller binds.

@x2inf I think this may address your issue as well

Hold down ESC to clear the bind then see if you can actually bind any of your controllers at all. Are you using Steam or Origin? On both I cannot get my joystick recognized in game, and only through Steam is my my PS4 controller recognized in game.

@xxxC🤭lBr33zExxx Sorry, but could you provide more detail? By going to "Key Bindings", then "On Foot" tab, down to "Look Right" (cause that's the direction my character is spinning), I select the keybind under the "Controller" column. When selected is says "Press A Button To Bind" or "Hold (Three-line) To Clear", "ESC to Cancel". Tried holding escape but it just takes me out of that menu.

@SaltineCracka63 sure can. When you get the message where it says "Press A Button To Bind" or "Hold (Three-line) To Clear", "ESC to Cancel", hold down the ESC button for a few seconds and that should clear the bind. The window will close once the bind is removed and you should see your settings.

Buddy is having a very similar issue and can't bind any keys at all. Everything is defaulting to mouse 5.
