I can't open BF2042 with NordVPN actived

Hello, I have the problem titled in the subject, I already tried to check in the forum but I didn't find a complete answer about the problem.

Recently I activated NordVPN for my Windows connections, I saw that with NordVPN the game detects problems to connect to EA servers, if I disable the vpn it works correctly.

So, I tried to add BF2042 in "Split Tunneling", feature of NordVPN for "except connections to the VPN" but same results. Just to add.. I didn't find the app to add, I added just the BF2042.exe manually.

I'm wondering if there're other players that use NordVPN, do you know how I can set properly the Split Tunneling feature to avoid problems with BF2042?

    Please turn off NordVPN. This resolves the issue.

    Hey @federik9518,

    It is quite normal for some VPN providers to block certain services, maybe BF2042 is one of them.

    I would recommend to turn off NordVPN if you want to continue playing the game.

    The exact same problem. NordVPN shouldn't block BF2042 but it is and BF5 too  while using the Split Tunnelling feature.  This a recent thing from what I can tell. Sadly my VPN comes before BF. Not worth installing any EA game then.

    Oh and the lag on the new map is horrendous. If that's not enough to uninstall the game for.

    NordVpn Split Tunneling - I can't connect.

    Normal connection with NordVPN is just insane.

    The ping times 1000ms on the new map.

    any way Here's the screenshot error code. Far too long to type here.

    It's only EA games I cant play. The app logs me in.

    Please turn off NordVPN. This resolves the issue.

    Considering neatwork safety is at risk with the VPN disabled, please advise how to allow 2042 to connect to servers via tunneling. Disabling VPN is not possible, nor an option.

    Personally, I have been targeted by hackers and scammers many times this week as i explore WFH opportunities.

    All I want to do is play the game I'm actually enjoying.

    bollox! its the game when everything else works EXCEPT BF - try being helpful instead
