Forum Discussion
Made a post about this the other day in the general section of the forum which seemed to garner a little bit of support but I doubt anyone who works on the game browses that forum section.
All they have to do is swap out "nvngx_dlss.dll" from the old 2.5.0 to version 2.5.1 or newer as Nvidia depreciated the sharpening filter because exactly as you said. Updating to 2.5.1 would require no work, just a .dll file swap (which we could do but the anti cheat prevents you from editing/swapping game files (I might give it a try with the new version of the anti cheat in S7, but Im sure its just as strict) Versions of DLSS 3.0 or newer would take a little work as there's a new preset "g" which needs to be compared to the old ones.
Just to clarify I'm talking about versions of "nvngx_dlss dll" and not frame gen which is an entirely different dll.
The nvngx_dlss dll was updated from version 2.5.0 to version 3.1.11 last August.
So this isn't the old DLSS built in-sharpening but a rather different sharpening pass the devs applied.

Thats really frustrating! I really wish they would implement a sharpness slider! it really needs toning down or even just being setting it to 0 so you can use nvidia game filters overlay to apply that one if they don't want to go through the effort of making one.
- 2 years ago@Rockoni Yeah. Frankly I can't get myself through a whole match while looking at something that resembles a heavily processed smartphone camera capture, with all that sharpening.
