    Hi everyone,

    Thank you for continuing to share your reports around the EA Friends (EA Connect) and Rich Presence features in Battlefield 2042.

    With the release of Battlefield 2042 Update #8.9.0, we believe the issue affecting PC players (across EA app, Steam, etc.) when connecting with friends on other platforms should now be resolved. Console-to-console connections were unaffected, but cross-platform interactions involving PC were previously impacted.

    If you continue to encounter issues with these features after the update, please let us know. We’re still monitoring this closely.

Platform: PC
Game Ownership: Steam
Issue Onset: Since the "8.8.0 Update" (May 27th)
Exact Issue Details:
- In-game friends only appear to be online. Info about party status, the mode, map, number of players, etc., of their current game isn't available.
- I can invite friends to my party but can't join their party and game.
- This only happens with friends on the same platform (PC). All social features on friends playing with PlayStation appear and work as they should.
Screenshots: I'll update later.
PC EA app Users: Friends list is working normally on the EA app (blahblah in Battlefield 2042)
Frequency and Timing: I usually play between 20:00 and 00:00 (UTC+7). The issue always persists in this timeframe.
