Input Delay When Playing PS4 Version on PS5

I was playing the game on ps5. Then i switched to the ps4 version cause i wanted to play with my stepson… the input lag on the ps4 version is not acceptable. 

from the moment i press the R2 button, till the moment my gun starts firing feels like forever! Even on ps5 the game and the gunplay feels terrible but on ps4 is just ridiculous…

what a piece of garbage this game!  I’m a long time battlefield fan… bc2 & bf3 were the best games they ever made! From there it was all downhill… with this game they hit the wall at the end of the road. The franchise is dead, EA killed its soul and made it another ugly empty shell dumbed down for the mass piece of garbage!!!

i feel robbed for paying money for this game, back to the roots of the franchise they said… it couldn’t be ANY FURTHER from its roots!!

Summarize your bug I get an input lag of 2-3 seconds on my controller triggered by a respawn. Once it happens though the whole PS4 system is lagging including menus. It is only ever triggered in battlefield 2042 after. A respawn in any game type

Summarize your bug On multiple occasions the game is triggering serious input lag of my co troller. I’ve this happens the whole PS4 system becomes unresponsive with a 2-3 second input delay. It is only triggered when I game on battlefield 2042

I'm mostly playing the PS4 version of this game, both from a PS5 and a PS4 Pro and the input lag is seriously noticeable.

I had been hoping one of the recent patches would address this but it's only gotten worse as of 3.1. At one point today, it felt like I was a hockey puck moving around the map. I also have a friend on a regular PS4 who has this issue consistently.

Is there anything server-side or locally that can be done to address this?

When I pay the PS5 version, it's super responsive. 

Hi. Are you still experiencing this issue in March 2022? I'm experiencing this and trying to see if there is a fix or if EA/DICE have a fix planned.

I have this issue too when I play Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 5. Everything from looking to shooting to even selecting a gadget takes about half a second, it's awful. And yet, Battlefield 1 is just fine - no issues at all. One interesting thing is that BF4's UI is actually a bit outdated on PlayStation 5, as compared to how it looks on 4, so I'm wondering if it's running slower or the PS5 is somehow running too quickly
