About 4 days ago, I had a bad RAM stick removed.  Still have 32 gigs installed.  i9 chip and a 4070 super card.  After RAM removal, 2042 lags and gun stutters.  NEVER had a singe issue till now.  Tried all kinds of things. but still unplayable....
