(Cross Post from General Feedback)

With the game freshly launched, it is obvious that there are some bugs that come with it. However, there are some concerning issues that need to be adressed in order to make the game long term playable.

Yes, there are other issues, that shall be taken seriously, nevertheless i'll strictly focus feedback on the jets and their physics.

Issues:

- Jets feel very sluggish: (Like flying freezers or bathtubs)

- Gun spread is too high

- Gun range too low

- Speed is too low

- Drag is too high

- Unintuitive speed control

- No Roll Cam off option

- Rear view blocking manouevring

- Cluttered Hud

- Bugs in the loadout menu

- Missing and incomprehensible missile warning

Summary:

The biggest problem i currently see is, that the jet physics are just not good enough to ensure long term motivation. May it be in learning to fly, mastering the flight, impacting the game in some way, aside from hopelessly spamming IR/Radar Missiles.

Apart from that, it will effectively prevent the establishment of proper dogfighting in this game.

The flight is unintuitive, slow and simply unfun. It needs extensive fixing and testing from dev and community side.

Recommendation:

- Remove or lower the drag coefficient

- Remove or lower the gun spread

- Increase Jet base speed

- Make Afterburner useful

- Increase Gun Range (given spread removal is not enough)

- Implement Roll Cam On/off

Great looks do not compensate lack of proper good gameplay.

Feel free to give feedback! Standard smile

  • I'm not an experienced jet pilot (last series i've played was BF4 back in the days, loved dogfighting), and currently my top-1 jet related issue is: rear view (& look around view) is blocking maneuvering in 3rd and 1st person. AFAIK, it's possible to only turn left and right, no tilting.

Sometimes I'm just losing an enemy when (or) after doing a 180 turn, because I can't keep track of them.

Also, I have figured out that this is another issue in any air vehicle (I don't believe that this is intended):

when using 1st person mode, view is zoomed in by default, it's like I'm holding the "Vehicle Weapon Zoom" button.

But when I actually hold the "Zoom" button, it does the opposite - zoom-out.

I've uploaded a video that shows this problem: https://youtu.be/LvTyggWrJbQ

After years of playing FPS, I don't want to change my muscle memory. Hold to zoom-in, release to zoom-out is the only way!

The pitch up/down rates on the jets are reversed as well. You actually complete vertical and horizontal loops much faster by using pitch down then you do using pitch up. In fact I know several dedicated pilots who’ve resorted to flying upside down. Smh
