@DMGG1994 Cleanboot is also advise from EA , check their HELP page about issues and how to troubleshoot.
This is needed to exclude any program that could cause issues.
After test ya can simply all undo it.
And if ya disable all , no harm will be done.
Unless ya do things ya shouldnt to during test fase 😉

In EA support, Steam or Windows & others for everything the solution is also to update Windows to the latest version and all drivers (this step almost never helps). I don't update anything, maybe that's why I don't have problems with BF2042 now 🙂 ? Now I had to update the GPU drivers, because the game launcher threw me an error that BF2042 won't work on older drivers than version (xx), also I was brutally forced to do it xD. As I wrote, free world, everyone has a choice, I Clean Boot will never apply because it disables too much.
