If EA support's response is to just link you the first articles that pop up on Google, do you actually expect them to keep even a single thread or individual updated? Your answer should be a resounding no.

I will be on the phone in my scheduled call with the Escalation Manager in 30min (5:30pm). Hopefully I can get this resolved tonight. Ill keep everyone updated.

15 minutes on the phone with the Escalation Manager and the issue is now fixed for me and I can launch the game again, without the need to uninstall the game. He did the same as the link above, where he ended certain processes and now the game launches. Said they will be pushing out an update soon to all who own SA.

Following the link, Webroot was able to resolve the issue with the original commenter's issue. According to his newest reply, they are now working on an update to resolve for all BF2042 users.
