Just solved the issue on my end by going to the EA Play folder and setting the launcher + app to run as an administrator, this is odd as I didn't have to do it previously but I'm glad it worked now.
@Sulaiman-178 Pardon my ignorance, but where exactly is this "EA Play folder"?
@Birchell7610 Sorry meant EA Desktop folder.
For me it was C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop
